You never know what life will bring and our "story" has changed dramatically. Over 23 years ago my husband told me to do what I loved and with his support and encouragement Dragonfly Dreams was created. Wayne is now a transplant warrior! My love and devotion to the art I create remain, but it serves a new purpose. All sales from the store go to Wayne's medical care and related expenses. Artisan-designed handcrafted sculptures. In 1999 I found myself drawn to a rich earthy color that had a marvelous shine, a metal that responded to my hands in a manner I had not anticipated and I was captivated. Within months I found myself searching for the perfect compliment and the solution caught me by surprise....glass. Stained glass, fused glass, and glass orbs frequent many of my designs and provide hints of color or a touch of whimsy.
I am a fused glass instructor and from time to time, hand-painted fused glass treasures make their way into Dragonfly Dreams. You also find mixed media, pottery, watercolor, and even glass supplies.
My life has been a journey through art. In my spare time, I create mixed-media objects and enjoy watercolor, felting, and pottery. Oh, and of course, I should mention my love of gardening and plants. My family knows if I am missing, you need only look outside.
